about

Banish Misfortune - traditional tune, apparently also known as 'The Stoat That Ate Me Sandals'! Sometimes associated with the blind poet and fiddler O'Rafftery who lived in Connacht in the 19th century; The Blarney Pilgrim - traditional tune which seems to date from the early 1800s; Garrett Barry's - an Irish piper c1800; Pipe On The Hob - traditional tune and possibly one of the oldest known Irish tunes, "The Piper on the Hob" is a nickname for the House Cricket insect.
